As far as I know this is the only way to get the guitar hero III version of 'The Devil Went Down to Georgia' and the intro to the game by Slash. It also includes other songs that I recognized from the game but are not exclusive to the game. There are a few tracks I have never heard of and I can only guess it is because they are on the Xbox 360 version of the game and I played it on the Playstation 2.
In fact it might be one of the best. 8/10Cherub Rock- I already had this song when I got the album, but I'm not saying it's a bad song. 9/103's & 7's- I already had this song when I got this album, but again; not saying it's a bad song. But if have a 360 and a copy of the game. I had no idea what this song sounded like until I bought the CD. I never really liked it enough to get it off iTunes. not much of a fan of Velvet Revolver, but yet still a good song. 9/10So overall, this is a good album.
After all, Slash is an amazing guitarist. This album is mostly intended for those with the xBox 360 version of the game because you can use it to download 3 songs and play them in game. 10/10Putting Holes In Happiness (Nick Zinner Remix)- This is my favorite song on the CD. Sonic Youth is a diffrent band. probably my second favorite on the CD.
9/10Miss Murder- Didn't have this song when I got the album. Nick Zinner remixs the song with a faster beat and awesome guitars. 8/10Slither- Slash's current band. Queens of the Stone Age did an awesome job composing this. Yet there isn't anything special about this song.
7/10Prayer Of The Refugee- Not a fan of Rise Against, but still this is a good song. 10/10Tina- Good song by Flyleaf. Kinda sounds like something by Nine Inch Nails. But now that I have this album, it's pretty good. But it's still okay. Goes back and forth from soft to hard rock.
But other than that, it's a decent album (though it could use more tracks).Guitar Hero 3 Intro- Pretty cool little intro. Just your average hard rock song. Though there's nothing much to say about it. 8/10Devil Went Down to Georgia (Guitar Hero Original)- Everyone has probably heard the classic country version of this song.
They could have made it better by putting these songs on:-Tom Morello Guitar Battle-Slash Guitar Battle-Anarchy in the U.K.(Re-recording)-Number of the Beast-Through The Fire and FlamesIf you already have most of these songs, I wouldn't recomend getting it. Living Colour re-recorded it with a solo that was 10 times harder than the orginal. Smashing Pumpkins is a great band and this song is one of there best. I like this song, but the original is far more better.
8/10Kool Thing- This song is diffrent from the rest. 7/10Cult of Personality (Guitar Hero Version)- Probably the main reason I got this. Well Steve Ouimette preformed a heavy metal version with crazy dual guitar solos. Get it for the 3 downloadable songs.
at all. Please buyers, don't buy it.
They say you can download the companion pack, but everytime i go to the site, there is no place to type the code that I have. This product is a liar.
This piece of garbage doesn't tell you at least that there is no way to obtain the code. It is a real shame to fake the customers like this.
I want a refund. Interscope Records really sucks.
I'd like a code for Wii so that we can download some new tunes for GHIII. A few songs would fill in my library. You can buy discs like this off BMG for about $7 delivered.
For any customer out there that doesn't have an Xbox 360. Could you pm the code for the dlc. I would gladly appreciate it. Btw the the cd rocks just like the game.
